What’s New
There’s a new home for Frost River! We still specialize in waxed canvas and leather reliable softgoods but now we are making them in a new place. Stop in and see our new retail space at 1910 West Superior Street in Duluth. We may have moved only ten blocks but the change is significant. Gone are the concrete floors and cramped quarters, traded for black tin celings, separate floors, and windows. It’s a place to check out our products and say “Hi” to the people that enjoy making them. This is not your ordinary retail store. As soon as you step inside - listen closely and you can hear the sounds of products being made in the U.S.A. In the back of the store the “clicker” punches out premium leather pieces for packs and bags. Sewing machines upstairs hum along creating a unique ambiance. Also you can hear the chunking of stoic riveting machines that continue to provide support after decades of service. Are you curious to know what goes into a Frost River pack? Just stop in and ask… we’d be happy to give you a tour. Our bags remain the same, but now they’re looking better than ever in a new space. |
